Roni's Deer Stew




I have not tried this one yet but it sounds good. Sent to me by Roni Thompson from Egg Harbor City, NJ.




2 lb. deer meat, cubed

1/2 cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

6 carrots, sliced

2 stalks of celery, sliced

4 potatoes, cubed

2 small onions, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 46 oz. can of vegetable juice cocktail

dash of hot sauce


Mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Flour venison cubes and brown in oil. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 4 hours, or you can bake at 350 degrees covered for 3 to 4 hours.
